What can I expect from therapy?

Beginning therapy can feel daunting

You might wonder what it will be like to open up, or whether you’ll be truly understood. That’s normal. My role is to create a safe, respectful space where you don’t have to carry things alone. From our very first conversation, everything we discuss is handled with care and confidentiality (in line with the UKCP Code of Ethics).

Your first step

We’ll start with a free 15–20 minute Zoom call where you can share what brings you here, ask any questions, and see if working together feels like the right fit.

What therapy looks like

Sessions are usually one hour each week, though we can adjust to suit your needs. The focus is always you. Whether you’re feeling overwhelmed, stuck, anxious, or simply in need of clarity, we’ll move at your pace.

How I work

To make things feel less overwhelming, I keep the process simple. We’ll move through three steps together:

  1. Explore: We begin with open, respectful conversations where you can share what’s troubling you in a safe space.

  2. Understand: Together we make sense of patterns, emotions, and challenges, finding clarity about what’s really going on.

  3. Grow: You develop new ways of responding, feeling more grounded, confident, and able to move forward in your life.

What clients often value most isn’t the technique itself but the experience of feeling truly seen, heard, and not judged. That relationship is where change happens.

Your next step

If you’re ready to explore whether therapy could help, I invite you to book a free discovery call.

You’re not locking in.

It’s only a chance to connect, ask questions, and take the first step toward the change you’re looking for.
